Featured product: Dot Flower Crayon Set

This week we went to a park in Sydney with Sai, graphic designer to try Mycuppatea’s favourite Dot Flower Crayons.

Dot Flower Crayons emulate the beauty of the natural world. Each crayon expands on a floral theme, featuring a mosaic of exquisite colours. The floral themes are tulip, morning glory, cosmos, lavender, poppy and marigold. Now Sai can show you how to experiment the gorgeous crayons.

It was nice winter day to film an artist and we had a great time. Sai’s love of animals and drawing skills created a beautiful piece of art! We’re glad that Sai and Dot Flower Crayons are such a perfect match. Then we chatted about a few of her favourite things...

Tell us about yourself.
My name is Sai and I'm a graphic designer and illustrator.

Where does your inspiration come from?
I get inspired by everyday life - seeing objects, shape and colours around me and cooperating them into my works. I also love nature and animals and I get a lot of inspiration from that.

What’s your secret to being creative?
Keep yourself interested and inspired, and never stop doing what you love!

What are two of your favourite things (outside of work)?
My dog, Cookie. Taking walks. Shopping for art equipment.

Is there anything you wish Mycuppatea stocked?
Happiness! Or more fun stationery like the crayons.

Tell us what you think of Dot Flower Crayon Set.
When I first saw the crayons, I thought they were so cute! The concept of using color combinations from flowers is great. I've had multi-color pencils before when I was a child, but as an adult have never used them in my illustrations. They turned out to be a lot of fun and the different colors helped to give depth to the drawing. I can imagine my artist friends having fun with these.
